Fun & New Beginnings

Lionel surprised me with a grand day at the beach; boat rides, music, and fun. He planned for us to spend the day together. He realized that I was smitten with Celeste and he was excited for me, but warned that she might be trouble. Miami's made for one night stands and hookups. No one comes here looking for love, nor do they rarely find it.

By sunset, we were heading to Lionel's buddies' beach house. They had planned a gambling night, and a few ladies were joining them. I didn't bother to ask Celeste if she wanted to join us because I figured she would be busy, although she didn't seem too occupied, because she kept texting me.

Text:
Celeste- Hey bae hows it going I wanna get into you tonight

Amber- Hey, I'm hanging with Lionel and his buddies at the beach house.

Celeste- Cool me, and Lolita can come through and crash what's the address?

I knew she was not going to let up until I sent the address. So, I checked with Lionel first to see if he would mind, he didn't. There was so much action going on I didn't think he would. Of course, I didn't want to be rude, though. I sent the address and joined Lionel at the card table for a couple of rounds of spades. That's our favorite card game. We were the college champions of all the spades players. We made light of the first round and bet a small wager of $200. So the pot is $400. Every time we win, the pot doubles. We usually ran the tables fast. By the time Celeste arrived, the pot had reached $800, and we were still winning.

I knew I wouldn't concentrate well with her there, so I asked for the round to end after the next hand played. We won! Lionel moved to the poker table. Celeste and I walked out to the balcony, and Lolita followed. She is such a loner, third wheel kind of girl. The smoke from the room followed us, and the music blared through the patio doors. Lolita moved close to the edge of the balcony. When she realized some stairs lead to the beach, she began to walk out toward the ocean.

"Celeste, so what are we gonna do? Will, I ever see you again after this weekend?" I knew she was surprised; I asked. She turned her head quickly as she answered. 'Amber, you know I hadn't thought about that in-depth. You 're going back to New York, right?' "Yes, and I would love to visit you again, or you can visit me. I know this is a whim, but I believe it all happened for a reason."

She pressed her lips against mine, slipped me some tongue, and then smiled. "Amber, there is no place I'd rather be than with you for a while. It's something about you. It's as if we have been here before together. You make me feel so safe and at ease." I knew what she meant, and I didn't want our night to end. We walked down to the beach were Lolita had found her a breezy spot. She had lit several candles that were lined up along the walkway. She had placed them in a heart shape in the sand along the beach.

'Come on, you two love birds, enter into the love zone.' Celeste and I both laughed as we walked into the heart and sat facing one another. She placed her hands in mine; then, she started writing what seemed to be letters in my palms. "What you doing there, girl?" Celeste didn't respond to me; she just kept writing. I was getting a little flustered, and Lolita noticed.

'Don't worry, Amber; she's just setting her intentions with you. I'm sure.' As Lolita finished her statement, Celeste kissed the inside of my palms and began to speak. "I don't know where this journey will lead us, but I am ready and willing to go. So I have professed love, peace, and good vibes with you in your palms. I give you my energy and await yours in return." She held her hand out, facing palms up and beckoned for me to write in her palms. So I did. I had never done anything like this before, but I trusted her, and I believed she trusted me. Besides, as far as I was concerned, we were destined.

As we finished, Lolita began to sing this melody by The internet called "GIRL." I loved that song, and it was perfect for this moment. Hey, maybe she's not so bad after all, third wheel and all. I couldn't ask for anything more. Lionel had given me the best vacay of my life. Surely this is only the beginning. I can only imagine what awaits in our destiny.
