As I laid in his arms with my head on his chest, I could smell his oils. Bergamot and copal oil and it tickled my nostrils. He always smelled so earthy, that's what I loved about him. I don't know, but good smells always usher me into a tranquil state. I could feel his chest rising and falling. I know by this time he's asleep. When he arrived last night, we talked for a while and then started watching a movie. As much as I wanted to make this visit all about him getting in my guts, I couldn't deny the comfort it brought me. So I decided to flow with the vibe. The days and nights are starting to run together. I've been trying to balance the flow of my days since I work from home now. I have a lot more leisure time because I get my work done much quicker in my zen home environment. The feng shui helps me to zone in on my task. That's why I love my home. It's beautiful and airy, always with a cool breeze, bright and filled with love. I keep my eucalyptus and mint candles burning because I love the scent. This corner apartment of my sky rise gives me the perfect view of the city and the ideal amount of sunlight. The view of the moon is fantastic. It's been a few weeks since the state has shut down. Only essential workers are in the public's eye at this time. That doesn't bother me much, though, because now I get a chance to do more studying and research. Rasta Experience As I walked down the trail to the waters, I could see the bright blue stream. The trees were like none I had ever encountered, so green and filled with fruit. There's nothing like entering a state of euphoria and realizing you're there. These Rastas have a way of welcoming you in spirit and the natural. I found myself utterly flabbergasted as I sat before a free spirit named Issachar. He explained to me that he was a non-traditional Rasta who believed in the foundation and premises of the culture and faith but was not bound by it. Since he and his tribe practice a lifestyle that embraces poly living many frowns are upon them. So, they live high up in the mountains away from the city in the countryside. They allow Haile Selassie to lead them, and the ancestors guide them daily. Connections I was sitting in my room, thinking about all that transpired as I began to write in my journal. The past week has been a gift from the universe. I've gotten to know Kwesi, Layla, and Claude as much as I could within seven days. There were instant connections and an expression of gratitude for them gracing me with the gift of their presence. I was ecstatic to find out that Layla and Kwesi live in my city, Fort Lauderdale. We'll see much more of each other. Layla has a real, quiet spirit, and she's bold. She carries herself with such confidence and wears a crown that no one can remove. As I've gotten to know her, that's what I appreciate the most. She's so free, intelligent, and sexy. Goodbye Aruba As I sat under the moon for the last time in Aruba, I realized how much anguish and sorrow resided within me still. I'm grateful for the reflection which has come after the detox. My body's cleansed on the inside, and now my soul can begin to declutter. My hopes and desires had brought me here, yet the healing that my soul required was much more than I could fathom. Purging- The Journey Continues      The night was young, and Horus and I had spent yet another day together. It was something about him that kept drawing me in.
