Case Closed

Kandice It's been three weeks since I had heard from Kimi. I couldn't believe she had pulled this off. I am going to miss Raphael, but there was no way I could pass up that kind of money. I know it may seem harsh and unethical, but he had it coming anyway. He should have never taken a vow of monogamy if he knew he would not be faithful to the cause. I am glad I wasn't the one found with Raphael. One thing I have learned from this, leave married men alone; they aren't worth the trouble. I've decided to lay low and take off for a while until the investigation of the homicide is complete. My flight for the Dominica Republic leaves in 30 mins. I'll be visiting some family members for six months. My Job gave me the much needed time, and I can work from my location after my break is over. Six weeks no work and all play. Who knows, maybe I will decide to stay. My heart often aches when I think about Raphael. I could have sworn I heard him call my name last night. I...

Casualties of War

Detective Moore It's not often I get baffled when working on a case. Yet this one is dragging, and the pieces are not of the standard caliber. We're still working on getting an ID for the female victim. It seems as though she's not a U.S. Citizen. So the foreign database search has already been initiated. The Homeland Security U.S. Embassy should have her information in no time. Meanwhile, the identified Raphael Durand's wife is being brought in for questioning. It seems as though they had been going through a breakup, which, in my eyes, implies motive. Her ragged and torn skirt did not imply that she was impoverished. Perhaps she was in a rush while getting dressed. As she sat in the interrogation room, she did not look a bit disturbed. No tears fell from her eyes, and no compassion seemed to be in her heart. Legs crossed, and lips primped and pursed, her fire-red lipstick brought attention to her dark chocolate brown skin. I managed to get a glimpse of her b...

Time Tells All Things

Detective Moore Things were heating up with the case. Forensics had identified the man's body, but they were still trying to get an identity for the woman. I thought this would be an open and close case, but evidence has another ending in store. "Detective Moore, I know it's been a couple of weeks, but I finally got in touch with Thalia, the psychic. You're not going to believe what she has to say." I could tell whatever it was; it was juicy. I hadn't seen Spinelli so excited in a long time. Thalia had just arrived at the station. Her general appearance gave hints about her psychic abilities. She wore the average large hoop earrings, plenty of bangles, and ankle bracelets; She had her hair wrapped in a white cloth that she tied up like a turban. It matched her all-white ensemble. She wreaked of sage and frankincense. It was a familiar scent to me, thanks to my grandma. She sat comfortably in a chair that Spinelli gave to her. 'Ms. Thalia, Hi, I...

From Houston, TX to Seattle, Washington

Kandice meets him... She couldn't believe they were finally going to meet. She had been video chatting, sexting, texting you name it, with her long-time cyber friend. His name, Raphael Durand, hailing from Paris, France. Raphael and Kandice met through a mutual friend years ago on a social media site. Initially, he did not pique her interest, but he always seemed friendly. At first, she could not fathom the idea of a long-distance relationship. Especially one where you didn't meet the person of interest physically. Yet here she was in love and hoping that the man she had fallen for, is who he portrays to be. It's been ten years since they met online, and since that time, Raphael had moved to the states to be with another love interest of his, Kimi. He met Kimi at church after meeting Kandice online. They ran into each other at his job one year and reconnected after that. Throughout all this time, Kandice and Raphael stayed connected, and their feelings for one another g...

Lovers Quarrel

Detective Moore on the Scene             The dreariness of the city was starting to get to everyone it seemed. She had just gotten a call to report to a homicide crime scene, when she was on her way to the bistro, downtown for a late evening coffee and danish, but that would have to wait. The blue and red lights flashed relentlessly as Detective Moore pulled onto the scene. 233 Cherrylane Avenue. The light misty rain trickled steadily. 'Evening Detective Moore, Seattle's finest!' A scraggly voice came from a rookie, Jenkins. He greeted Detective Moore as soon as she stepped onto the scene. She responded reluctantly, "Jenkins, What do we have here?" Before Jenkins could get a word in edgewise, his partner Spinelli was already spilling the tea. "Well, it seems as though a love quarrel went bad, but I'll let you be the judge of that. Two bodies, male and female, no sign of forced entry". " Spinelli's voice grew faint as Detective Moore wal...

Lips properly colored and glossed My teeth are pearly and my smile to die for.. My eyes laced with the finest shadows and color Lined and lashes fluffed, my tresses of curly locs flow My Breast sit firmly in place in my Tank style blouse My legs are shaved because I love the way the silkiness feels My butt is adorned by my tight fitted pencil skirt and lifted by my stilettos  I could clothe myself and cover me entirely Yet because my body has curves and I am voluptuous I am seen as provocatively dressed, I AM WOMAN I am Beautiful, I live and breathe my sexiness   My confidence is not in my clothing or the jewelry that adorns me It is in me, my essence, my flower of fragrance, the life source My soul and spirit speak volumes to my being I am not a Slut just because I embrace me I shall not be ashamed to wear clothing that I feel sexy and free in I should not be shamed and ridiculed because I embrace my alluring  Enchantress es...
