Mermaids The sea roared, and the waves rolled. Penelope bobbed and weaved with the currents as she made her way to a nearby Fisherman’s boat. Finally! She was tired and just wanted to rest. The horn blew, and the ship would be sailing shortly. The sun was setting, and yet she was hopeful that she would be back home soon. She laid down and began to reflect on how she had gotten to this point. Penelope always wanted to sail the ocean but settled for a 5-day cruise instead. None of her friends were able to take this trip with her due to their schedules, but this would never stop Penelope. She didn’t mind having fun alone, besides she was often a loner.
