THE TRIBE
Miko Lawrence - Journeying
I have never been one to only want to be with one man. I mean who does, honestly? It's not natural. As long as I can remember, my interest in relationships with human beings has encompassed the idea of multiple partners. When I was a young adult in my 20's, I had a suitor for almost every day of the week. Each one served his purpose. Now that I've grown into myself and become more secure in my being and my sexuality, I realize that it's highly unnatural to be monogamous. It is an idea that has been taught to many and imposed upon us by the world system.
Well, today, I no longer embrace the ways of the world. I have decided to live a free life. No more restraints or dictation. Many look at the woman who embraces her ability to love and be loved by more than one being romantically as a sign of whoredom. Darling, I am not a whore! I have tapped into my feminine energy, and I've learned to balance it with my masculine energy. I am the Ying and Yang. I am not afraid to love and be loved. I connect with all kinds of beings that vibrate on the same frequency as me. However, I have yet to settle in a tribe. On this journey of soul searching and love seeking, I know I will eventually find my tribe. Until then, I flow with the universe and manifest greatness, so no one and nothing can kill my vibe.
Did I tell you that I like women too? Oh yeah, that part. For so long women have been shamed for adoring one another and embracing the embodiment of femininity. After some constant soul searching, meditation, prayer, and many spiritual baths, I have learned to live without judgment towards myself or others. I am a free spirit; no religion nor government organization will bind me. So that's why this journey has begun. I'm taking a trip traveling around the world to find my tribe. Wherever spirit leads me, I will go. I just turned 30, and I have finally saved up enough money to travel for six consecutive months. I don't have any kids and not looking to marry ever. I want to be as free as a bird. My parents think I'm crazy. Of course, they're from the old school and predicted I would be married and started having kids by now. Well, that's their desires impressed upon me, not what I desire for myself.
So, I begin my journey to the beautiful country of Aruba. I'm staying for two weeks. Then I'll be off to Jamaica, and Honduras will soon follow. I bet you're wondering if I'm traveling alone. I AM! There's no better way to find yourself and a more significant part of you other than separating yourself from the crowds. Besides, most of those who were once called friends have shown their true colors, and I now know they were wolves in sheep's clothing. Except for my best friend, Nadia. She's one of a kind. She will be joining me next month when I land in Honduras. So, here's to all the great adventures that lie ahead. Journey with me, and you too, will find my tribe. Let's Go!!
