THE TRIBE
The Journey continues...ARUBA
As the wind blows across my body, I can feel it caress my face. My attention's drawn to the waves before me. The sound of the ocean soothes my soul. The sand in between my toes feels serene and quite therapeutic. I've finally made it to ARUBA. My first trip out of the country alone, and it feels great. I've never allowed myself to be so free. There's nothing like fulfilling a quest that you've desired for so long. As the sun beams down on me, I can feel the warmth of love embracing me. I close my eyes and relax. There's nothing that can take away from this very moment.
"Peace Queen, excuse me." I heard a voice speak to me. At first, I thought I was dreaming. I opened my eyes to find a young man standing before me.
'Hello, how are you?' He seemed enthused by my response.
"I saw you from a distance and was drawn to you. I just wanted to know if I could join you and have a conversation if you don't mind."
Who could say no to a guy as handsome as he? Tall dark and lovely, groomed nicely, full beard and ripped abs. Come thru honey and grab you a seat! There's no way I'm saying no to this opportunity.
'Sure, I'm Miko, and you are?' "Pardon my rudeness; I'm Horus."
"Cool Horus, are you a native or just visiting?"
'I'm a native, and I've been here for about 28 years.'
He smiled as he sat next to me. I began to feel the pull of his energy engulfing me. His presence so tenacious and inviting. My mind began to wonder about the moments that were before me as I felt myself staring into his eyes.
"Miko, you're a beautiful woman, and I mean that in the most respectful way. Not to sound creepy or anything but I've been watching you from afar since you arrived on the beach. Normally I don't come to the beach during the day, but today I was encouraged to do so."
As he talked, I watched every word he formed leave his mouth. This guy was no ordinary human being I mean it was as if he fell from heaven — lucky day for me.
'Well, I'm glad you were so bold to approach me and join me. I like the company, but I'm planning for most of my trip to be solitary. It's always nice to have companionship, though.'
As he sat before me, he allowed his eyes to study my body. I could feel him looking at me even when he wasn't. What has the universe brought to me?
"Miko, I'm quite blunt, and I don't like to beat around the bush, so I'd like to be as frank with you. Do you mind?"
'Not at all Horus, feel free to talk as you are led. What's up?'
He positioned himself so that he was sitting right in front of me. He moved in closer. I could feel his breath on my chest.
"I'm an excellent judge of character even though I don't judge people. I feel that you're looking for something or missing something, and it's my part to sit with you for the time you allow me to so we can exchange energy and conversation."
Here we go. Now he's was talking my language. The first of my many encounters. What will this soul add unto me? I just nodded my head as I looked deeper into his eyes and allowed his voice to reach my soul.
'We can talk for as long as you want.'
"Cool, I'd like to play some music too.."
He pulled out his phone and began to play some soft nostalgic music. This guy. OMG!
"So where do we begin? I'll tell you more about me, and we will take turns cool?"
Again, who could say NO to this guy? I just smiled and nodded. He started telling me about his family and his youthful years on the island. He also made mention of his spirituality and his lifestyle. I was floored to find out he's the eldest of seven considering he's so young and he's spiritual too. Yassss!!! As he talked, I realized his spirit was familiar to me. Now I know I've never met this man before, but the more he spoke the more I began to have visions of life in another time and place with him. He sparked something in me that can't be turned off, and I like it. I will give myself time to digest all of this later, but for now, I want to enjoy him in this moment of synchronicity. He paused and I jumped right in telling him a little about me and my spiritual journey so far. He was pleased to learn that I too am a spiritual being.
Finally, he asked me the question I was waiting for, "Miko May I?". He stretched his hands out before me in pursuit to make contact. I placed my hands in his. I almost melted. The warmth of his spirit sparked another place within my being. I felt a jolt in my spine. He caressed my hands and began to massage my hands and fingers. This guy is eccentric and on some other stuff. I don't mind though because I feel safe and secure and in this moment that is all that matters. So, my journey continues. Thanks, Universe!
